Explore a recovering landscape shaped by weather, wildlife and time.

Lofftwen is a 320-acre regenerating hill farm in the Cambrian Mountains, shaped by restoration, wildlife and weather.

The buildings sit within the landscape itself, with footpaths, open hillsides and restoring habitats extending directly from your front door, , while the small town of Llanwrtyd Wells remains quietly within walking distance.

Some guests come to walk for days without seeing another person. Others stay close to the farm, watching weather, wildlife and changing light across the hills.

On the Farm

What began as a restoration project increasingly became a much longer-term way of thinking about landscape, stewardship and time.

Beyond Lofftwen

Although the farm often feels remote and self-contained, Llanwrtyd Wells lies only a short walk from the buildings, either along quiet roads or through footpaths crossing the farm itself.

Small in scale but unusually rich in character, the town and surrounding valleys contain independent cafés, pubs, breweries, music venues and a growing number of local makers and craftspeople.
